Charming Forehead

This is a fan art of a particularly favorite scene of mine in an Alternate Universe fanfiction I'm working on.

It's set in the Heian Period of Ancient Japan, hence Naruto and Sakura wearing those specific robes.
The two are about 6-years-old in this scene, with Naruto pushing off her bangs away from her eyes, commenting she looks better with her hair out of her beautiful face, and causing her to slightly rise from her low bow in the process.


If you'll notice, Naruto's robes are much more elaborate than the modest simple-looking one Sakura is dressed in. That's 'cause in my own story Naruto is the son of a Shogun (Minato) and is therefore among the higher-up elite nobles, while Sakura is merely the daughter of merchants (which during that time, were considered even lower than peasants).

Each bare their clan symbols, and if you'll look closely, I've decided to adorn on Naruto's belt-banner-thingy a simpler looking Uzumaki swirl--one that resembles on the actual Naruto--aligned on either side with four Magatama (there's no room for a total of nine lol) and beneath it is the Kanji character for "Fox".
