How can I love?

This song… is…just…SO BEAUTIFUL!!! [link] and it related SO much to my original characters from a novel I’ve been working on for a while titled “A Twist in Time” (title may change. In other words, it’s not official.)

Basically, the guy “Romeo Murray” (lmao ik what you think of the name, but it’s part of the whole comedy romance thing and there’s a reason why he’s named that way.) is actually from 1864 who came to modern time new york (again, want an explanation? Ask me! LOL) and the girl “Claire Bright” has had tough times with “Love” before (mom died before old enough to meet her, dad abandoned her to travel and provide his daughter money at the age of 8, betrayal, heart-broken by her best friend/crushee…and a lot of stuff she’s got issues), and is…er, very protective over it she’s the tough, independent, fierce, boyish, kick-ass type and never really…. Gives in to love or her emotions. In short: she’s afraid of it. She always has this protective shell around her (u know, she’s like a hard rock from the outside, but very delicate on the inside) and never lets anyone break it. Up until Romeo came along and he managed his way slowly into the shell. But when she finally gave in to love for a one more try, he drops the bomb by saying he has to leave… back to his time and this scene is basically her breaking down from the news and betrayal after finally opening up to him, while he tries to tell her his sorry but secretly has feelings back. (I’m trying to capture her as if she’s pushing him and his hug away, but at the same time she doesn’t want to let go… I just hope my awfully drawn hands and body language shows it )

Okay, guys. I know it sounds lame this way, but there’s SO MUCH MORE TO THE STORY! Unfortunately, I can’t write them all down here so much elements, themes, twists, cliff hangers, drama, comedy, romance, action and mystery going on. P.S. I HATE how Romeo turned out just… WRONG!! But I like how Claire did
